Day 64
Bob Dylan. You love him too, I can tell.
As for the quote, there's nothing like the feeling of being yourself.
Oh and also, I have a boyfriend. As of today. He makes a mean bacon and eggs. He's a keeper.

Day 63
I did some actual spring cleaning today. Also,  I have a friend who is going through a break-up. His idea of revenge on his ex was to break her gnome. This isn't the same gnome, but I took a photo of it because we both agreed that it was a hilarious way to make himself feel better.
I didn't take the bottom right photo, my sister did back home. This is my 3 year old nephew/godson. I took the photo from my sister's Facebook because it showed so much personality in his little 3 year old face, and I guess I'm just really proud of that.

Day 62
I went with my friend to a bar too far from my house to crash my old work's work party. I ended up having a lot of fun.
I'm still glad I got out of that place though. I swear.

Day 61
The Brian Chronicles. Apparently he's a very photogenic dude.

Below: Sometimes friends talk you into things you really don't want to do. And it ends up being totally worth it. I don't know what happened last night  (figuratively speaking) but I now know what it feels like to be in a movie...and I have a very good feeling about it.

Day 60
Why do I always end up at the pub. Someone was here this night that I wasn't aware I was going to meet the next. Well, I'm glad it happened.

Day 59:
Decided to go out to a club with my friend. She didn't want to go alone, so I went with her...and, it has been confirmed. I loathe dance clubs. So, I made it for last call to my favorite pub. 7$ schooners are my love. Even my photos I take there turn out better than the photos I take at the club.
I also met an interesting character at the pub. He was a poet. He gave me his poetry book as a gift. He normally sells it, so I think it's rather interesting whenever somebody gives you something they normally sell. It means they think losing the cost of it is worth something.
Something interesting out of his book: "Hello Wall, you are now my muse". Anyways, I'm glancing through the book now.
This myspace was listed on the front page:

My walk home was nice. I love walking in Winter in the wee hours of the morning. I found a loonie on the ground too. Also, came home to a message from a band I've been following called "The Conduits". They may want me to do a music video for them. So that's exciting. Life is exciting if you put yourself out there.

Day 58: Mohawklet.Mulhawk.Hawklet.

I cut my hair again. A smart person once told me that when people compulsively cut their hair, it could be because they feel like that's the only control they can get on their life. On the other hand, Arizona Green Iced Tea is all kinds of wonderful.

Day 57
This was yesterday. I came back to Kingston and spent most of the day relaxing/recovering in my room. My battery pack hasn't been charged yet, so I'm going to post this show poster I've been working on. It's for an art show I'm in that promotes women in the creative industry/scene. Please, let me know what you think of it so far!
Also, don't forget to join my photography fan page!!! :

Day 56

So, Toronto weekend was a complete success. I want to The Garage to check out my best friend's band 'Eternal Rising'. They were fantastic as always.
You can give them a listen here:
All of their photos on their myspace were taken by me.

My camera battery died during the middle of their last song, but my other buddy was taking photos with his iphone, so here's some more.

It was also brought to my attention that I have a skin flute tattooed on me. Hilarious.

Day 55

Stouffville, Ontario. Took me 6 vehicle transfers to get here. One car to Belleville, a car to Oshawa, a bus to downtown Oshawa bus station, another bus to Unionville Go Station, the Go Train to Stouffville, and my friend's car to his house. Goddamn, son.  Hanging out with some good friends I haven't seen in a long time. Tonight, going to see Eternal Rising in Toronto and meet up with some more great friends. I'm very excited.  And you guys should be too, because the pictures that are going to entail can't be described by words. I promise you that. My gift to you for being so hasty on the postings.

Day 53-54

Some hair dying with my friends. And some hookah smoking too.

Day 52
As you can tell by now, I'm a very social person. I like to be around people. I also like to party.
The later it gets, the crazier you get. The crazier you get, the more you should go to bed. The more you should go to bed, the less you want to go to bed.
These are all lovely people, I should mention. Getting crazy with them is always fun.

Day 51
Valentine's Day, also know as, the war between the taken and single.
They just seem so angry at each other.
Anyways, I made these little bonhommes in celebration of valentine's day. I also made an animate gif of them and you can check that out below. Please, let me know what you think.

Day 49 & 50
"I like going for romantic walks to the beer store."

I decided to combine these posts to make it easier for me. This weekend was excellent. Back to reality and sharing a house with 3 other people. I guess as I type this blog, it's Valentine's Day. To all you kiddies out there who are single, don't worry about it. They have beer specials at the bar for that.

Also, I made this playlist. Enjoy:

Day 48

All of my roommates left today for the weekend. I have the entire house to myself so I decided to have a get together. It was good stuff, but I didn't take any photos. Instead, here is a photo of my new editing discovery. The image on the left is 3D. I was told by a friend that it works if you use 3D glasses. On the right, that is my ceiling dripping, My landlord keeps getting shotty repair jobs on it and while my other roommate was taking a shower, our kitchen ceiling started leaking.

Day 47

I taught a lesson today. It was a lesson in photoshop. It's a good feeling when somebody else pays you for your knowledge. I also unleashed a cooking storm upon my oven. I made chili, bacon and eggs and the best banana muffins you'd probably ever eat in your life. Your Grandma ain't got shit on me.

Day 46 (Wednesday, February 9th)
Please be kind to me Kingston, and give me a job.
Yesterday I  woke up at 5 am and drank a whole pot of coffee to myself. In the afternoon I went out and passed out resumes to some neat shops downtown. My friend joined me and we got supper and more coffee together. I'm not slowing my caffeine intake anytime soon.

Day 44

I didn't take a new photo yesterday. My day was really boring and I was feeling extremely uninspired. But late at night, a good friend of mine asked if I wanted to go over. So I did and we ended up listening to music, jamming and played some pool. Anyways, this is one of the songs we listened to. There's a bit of an interview at the beginning. I'm not quite sure what language it's in.

Day 43
Hung out with my friend today. We made pizza (chicken, tomatoes and spinach), cookies and started writing a song together. Her voice is absolutely amazing, I'm hoping that I'll have something post for everyone soon.

Day 42

Surround yourself with friends. If it doesn't mean the world to you now, it will someday.

Day 41

Lazy days are allowed every now and then. Don't let anybody tell you different. I applied to some jobs online and watched movies all day. These photos are inspired by two movies I watched tonight. One of them was called "It's Kind of a Funny Story" and the other a little more known, "Paranormal Activity 2".
I liked the first one a lot more. PA-2 scared the fucking shit out of me.
On another note, I listened to the new Mother Mother album called "Eureka". Every song on the album is fantastic.

One last thing...if you're reading this, join my photography fan page on Facebook.

Day 40

Well...last night was a hoot. And that's all I have to say about that.

Thursday, February 3, 2011

Day 39

This is yesterday's post. Hung out with my friend again. The one from the bird post. Hookah's make for good photos!!! We each took photos of each other, and I tried showing her some cool stuff with her camera she got for Christmas. The top photo is actually taken by her.  The lighting in the middle photo didn't turn out exactly how I wanted, but I did my best in the editing process.
Tonight, I have a meeting for an art show I'm being featured in, so good results should come from that.

Day 38

I've made it this far, have you? Today my friend and I went out to the forest and fed some birds. They would come up to you and eat right out of your hands. Despite the awful cold, it was really refreshing.  My friend and I spent the day together then went to pick up her boyfriend afterwards. We went to a store that had a book display the three of us started going through. I found this one book that was all written down secrets submitted by random people, and then placed on the page in an artistic way. There was one secret that really seemed to sit heavy with me, and I suppose that it was because it was sad. It said something on the lines of,

"Sometimes I think of killing myself, but then I think the kids
with autism that I work with will wonder where I am."

Lately in my posts, I've been sharing some part of my thought process. So I guess I'll stick to that for now until I feel different. I really thought that the book was interesting. I couldn't relate to the secret above, but I felt I could relate to many others. Sometimes it's nice to know you're not the only one who thinks the way you do. It's reassuring to know you're not crazy.

Day 37

So there's a severe storm headed towards us folk in Southern Ontario throughout the next couple of days. The worst thing about this city is that when it snows, it's like every driver forgets everything they've ever learned about driving. It's a dangerous world out there.
I thought I'd snag a photo of a street near my house while I was walking home before it becomes covered in more snow. The two bottom photos is the laundry and storage room of a friend's apartment building. I thought it was pretty creepy looking, so I snagged a few photos.
